Wow! Stumbled upon this thread searching for Guv'nor related stuff as I'm placing an order for one tomorrow along with a Britannia for the wife.

I strongly considered the Speed 5 just for the 5 speed hub, but the dealer said they can actually do the Guv'nor with the 5 speed. I'm glad I asked because the Speed 5 has a little too much going on with the racing theme for my taste.

I looked for a Guv'nor alternative for years. There are a few nice complete bikes that are similar but usually missing something I want. I'm OK swapping parts but I have no experience building a bike from scratch, so that wasn't an option for me. So I'm going with the Guv'nor.

My only concern is the scarcity of the tire size they used. Anyone find 28" 700B tires aside from the Schwalbe Delta Cruisers? I may want a fatter tire but I'm not finding anything.
