NOS Le Spirax

This stuff is so rare I just got to share it with you guys.
A bike shop in Finland is selling NOS 40's-50's French "Le Spirax" derailleurs with shifters and cables, as well as matching 3- and 4-cog freewheels. I suppose the prices should be negotiable. Maybe one of the Japanese afficiandos of French bikes of the era will see this now

Very cool! Thanks for sharing it. According to VeloBase these were made between 1946 and 1953. The price being asked is up in Juy 543 territory!

Gulp! Now I know where these ridiculous inflation figures come from. It's not the price of gas or food, but that of vintage derailleurs!

I was so curious about the price that I went and looked, I find it sadly ironic that, that page has a quarter page ad included, for financing this purchase...

Those freewheels look as if they need several days in the spa for intensive rehabilitation.

Le sigh, I bet they only work right, on French bicycles. 🤔😉
