Looks fantastic. I was going to get the blue and red versions of those for possible build schemes. They look pretty solid.

It’s taken a bit but aside from saddle and pedals we have life! I’m still not sure about the saddle color or even brand. Since a Brooks will set me back a C note anyway I browse the interwebs and see I can find a yellow turbo. There was supposed to be a video of the bike below this but my Apple video are the wrong file type or something. the blue Origin 8 pedals are not staying.

jdawginsc Thank You. You mean the bottle cages? The base is thin rolled sheet wrapped around the tubing and crimped in a few spots. The bottle catches when you slide it in and the tubing is already loose on one.

Oh OK. While I haven’t road tested them yet I like them. They are plenty long enough for 8+ speed wheels too
The base isn’t actually extruded but see what I mean? I know shouldn't expect much for $8 but a squirt of Flex Seal would have made a big difference I think

Utilizing the "art" of anticipation often outweighs the "reveal".

Love it. I'm not usually a fan of overly "matchy matchy" builds, but this one just works. So nice and so well done.

“Stall Speed Indicators”. If they start pinging you’re about to fall over.

Well since the latest "Storm of the Century" has us off work again, I decided it was good time to mount the bottle cages and some other bling on Esmarelda.
Aside from a Ringle' decades ago I've not used a 'wrap around' style cage just the traditional so I hope I like these. They seem pretty nice and came with some clamps that might be good so something else

Each cage came with a nifty little mounting bracket

You seldom encounter local flavor like this sales flyer from Poland in your Amazon packages

Not too bad looking

The design of the cage made it necessary to use a small spacer between the C02 holder and bottle. I'm sure I have something nicer looking it was just a bit chilly in the garage to look around this morning

I'm certain this will be useful to hang some sort of useless gadget or something on a bike. This huge magnet might securley hold a bobby pin or two in place across the cobble like roads of Fort Wayne

You never know when you might need a Pirouline

For those longer rides a little soup can be refreshing at the rest stop.

I got super lucky one evening scouring the ebay and found some fabulous extremely rarer than rare Campagnolo Smeraldo Mono Planer brake calipers.

Back in December a Steel is Real FB group member offered to send me the rare and elusive Sugino single key release tool. He posted it just after the holidays and I waited, and waited. I had finally given up figuring it had gotten lost in the post somehow. Then on Thursday this small seemingly empty envelope with writing covering both sides shows up.
it looked suspicious and as I carelessly opened it and it got more suspicious looking. Good thing the postmaster didn’t peek inside.

Thank You
I was at one time but moved to a GPS that I hate. I need to look around and see if I can find a complete set and put it to use or get rid of whatever stuff I still have

Columbus MAX. The Nivachrome steel tubesets were intended to be used for lugless construction and that's what Bianchi did. This allegedly makes it lighter than a similar size lugged SLX or even SL frameset

Tig welded Columbus Max Bianchis were quite rare, congrats on the nice score. You seem to like tubulars, have you ever thought installing shamals or bora on your bike? Columbus Max was always ranked higher than Aelle,Gara, Cromor, SL, SLX,TSX and Brain which are entry-mid level steels. Bianchi also made a handbrazed with lugs version of the EL OS and then a genius TIG welded one, years later they switched to the Dedacciai 18MCDV6HT modified into Boron tubing.

Thank You I’ve had this one since 2009 but it plays second fiddle to my baby which I purchased new in 1990

I’m not really into those “deep dish” rims/wheels
