Non cycling related applications?
We celebrated Sinterklaas , the original Santa Claus from the Netherlands.
For adults it's the idea making a suprise, a funny package that's hiding simple cheap presents.
My son had to make a surprise package for me.
Out of a whole lot of cardboard came this for me. It was not the real present what was a chocolate P, a set of pipe wrenches, a bicycle magazine and a box of espresso cups.

An old stuck frame I gave him once because he wanted it came back as a nice lamp. And he learned a lot of the alan tubing he told me.
Surprisingly my lovely Mrs liked it too and asked me to hang it on the wall in the living room.
Eight years ago my son made me this variation of Picasso's Bull's Head what's hanging in the living room since then.

Probably you folks yourself have examples of this kind of applications.
Don't shake it, don't break it but hang it on this wall.
