Many? I can think of just the one recently and because of this thread, its back. Awesome. So no, this thread only shows that "clever" is just as stupid as a troll.

I liked my term...satire. Much more positive toward Neal!

Too bad you don't remember when you were "clever" enough to have cut the pump pegs off your Cinelli Model B:

Tired of seeing the same large signature image advertisement several times on each page? You can hide them. :thumb:

user control panel > settings and options > edit options > thread display options > [uncheck] show signatures

Membership takes care of that as well.

I wish you'd get in the habit of re-posting all of the photos that are in the post you're replying to. I love to scroll.

I only do that if it's immediately above my post. :p

—Pics in full sun are almost always awful.
—Out-of-focus closeups are always awful. Don’t post them; try again.
—In-door bike pics are usually awful; I can just hear that poor bike screaming to be let outside. Doesn’t matter how cool you’re decor is. That’s usually just distracting.
—We notice when you post the same pics over and over and over. Please stop.
—Excessive paragraph breaks and vocabulary the average reader needs to look up (but likely won’t) are just awful.
—BFers expressing excessive opinions are usually awful.

I thought it's worth recycling this post as I've been seeing several transgressions listed above still occurring. I'll highlight a few:

—Pics in full sun are almost always awful: Whoever told you to wait for that sunny day to take a good pic and then in full sunshine was wrong. Wait for a cloudy day or near sunrise/sunset or at least in the shade.

But you’re OK with BF’ers opining on excessive expressions, right?

This much is clear:
Excessive expressions = no bueno
Opining about excessive expressions = bueno

Doc, are you opining about opining on excessive expressions? Is that bueno? Discuss.

Please define. As written, this can mean someone having too many opinions.

I get it. You can't define it. Not even the first time. Which is why you had to re-post your "rules."

our dear departed member Paul Brodek was a master of bike photography! His shots were usually on a shaded trail, with wonderfully scenic background, and shallow depth of field. He had kept them on Flickr.... but I've lost track of his account.

One of my own shots of a bike in a shaded area....

and a shot using the morning sun, coming in from the side...

I will say that the shade doesn't bring out the colors as well as direct sunlight.

Anytime, Paul was one of the greats, I got 2 of his frames, should have gotten more, spoke with him several times and in the end as well.

Quite a good guy, RIP.

Gotcha nlerner. Maybe this is a good place to show off my Merckx. It is without doubt the best bike ever produced and I don’t know why any bike would be made of anything other than Reynolds 653.

Easily confused with Dr. Ferrari's glowing concoction of PED's and other riding enhancements in his bidon.
