Great thread, interesting read.
Top: 1961 Capo Sieger with all original components, including Ambrosio adjustable-reach stem.
Bottom: Capo-brand derailleurs and shift lever on an all-original 1953 Capo Sieger.
Interesting study of early 1950s to early 1960s evolution (sidepull brakes to centerpulls, bandspring and direct lever derailleurs to parallelogram and pushrod)

The soft tail on a 1998 Moots YBBeat. The tail allows for about an inch and a half of travel and depends on the flex of the titanium stays. It’s not a long travel but it’s enough to take the sting off impacts.

The bushing is completely replaceable and has been replaced on this bike after the braze-on were added. Moots sells the YBB rebuild kit for $60. It’s a trivial job to replace it.

Here's an interesting mountain bike stem off of an 88/89 Haro Extreme. What makes it unusual are the bosses for a water bottle, plus the front brake cable passes right through the stem pinch bolt.

I had a custom steel stem made to match my road bike.
I have yet to install it as it weighs more than double the aluminum one that’s on there!
