Anybody have a bucket of hub oil hole spring covers?
Back in the day, at the shop I worked at, those things would go flying off straight to some inaccessible place where bearings and beer caps go to die.
we would grab a jar with a hole in the lid big enough to shake one out and continue on with the day.
I see one and two available on line, but a buddy is working on a hub project and needs quantity.
wondering if any of you happen to have a vat of spring clip hub oil hole cover thingies
robert
palm springs
nothing but balloon tired single speeds to ride.

Yeah I'm like a black hole, bike parts go in my basement never to emerge. My prices are set to "don't really want to sell but I will if you're desperate enough". Glad to hear they're available on ebay, and glad to hear I won't have to sell any. I immediately had seller's remorse after posting those asking prices!
EDIT: what search terms are you using on ebay? The only "old Record" clips I could find are these, which are $26 each with shipping, more than my asking.
Of course I somehow assumed (without asking, oops) you wanted the old Record style (commonly called Nuovo Record since they came with the NR gruppo). That's what I have. It seems "new Record" clips are more abundant on the 'bay, good if that's what you're looking for, but they look wrong on an old Record hub.

Yeah, I need one for a Lyotard pedal! Try finding that! I was thinking I'd just buy a Campy one and anneal/grind/file/curl the ends if I got too desperate.
Or leave it as-is and see how many people notice.

I'd like a good bucket but don't need the oil clips.

Somehow I have a bunch of buckets, but no oil clips to put in them. Where did things go so wrong?

We should start a new BOC game.
It'd be confusing.

My friend has recreated the 1965 Cinelli design made by campy.
cool design. The fronts and tears are interchangeable.

Jim Merz is always up to something.
Did he tell you the story that starts at Tulio's wake?

I grew up poor and my dad never had a bucket. He did have a Folger's can though.
Sometimes I wonder if he would be disappointed that I only have a jar.

this sounds like a potential 3D printing project, if one could stand them being made from plastic.
