Rant off
And get off my lawn!

The first stop is Immigration and the second is actual customs.
Immigration is the acceptance of that country allowing you to enter.
Customs is a check of what you are bringing into the country.

Yes! Also, modern low-friction cable and housing. The rear brake of my Peugeot UO-8 was worthless until I replaced the cable and housing, which made a dramatic difference.

When I replaced the ineffective Campag. single pivot sidepulls on my Bianchi with dual-pivot Shimanos that actually provide safe braking force, I had to replace the OEM rear brake cable, which otherwise prevented the caliper from reopening. Cables and housings are as important as brake levers (aero for best leverage), calipers, and brake pads (insist on KoolStop; accept no substitutes).
