Disc Brake Marked "IL" on GT Backwoods

Hello, I'm trying to help a friend identify the manufacturer of the disc caliper on his GT Backwoods. It just has an "IL" stamped on it and no other identifying features. Does anyone have any ideas? Looking to find a replacement set of brake pads for it.

Brake caliper on vintage GT Backwoods.

Best thing to do is pull the old pads and see what they look like. Just a guess, but I'd start comparing to Hayes Mx or older Tektro.

Edit: just looked closer at the pic, is that a Formula "F"?
