Mid-1930's Cicognani Racing Bike

Not mine, but easy on the eyes. It was sold last in the Grants Pass, OR area. These pre-war Italian and French bikes were often light and well designed. I have a 1930's French racer, builder unknown, and it's a fine one to ride.

Such a neat bike. Also like that simple two speed ratio. Thanks for sharing

That is very nice. Thanks for posting. Somewhere I have one of Jan Heine’s books with a selection of racing bikes through the years and all the bikes from 30’s and 40’s weigh around 17-18 lbs, compared to the 80’s racers which are typically 21-22 lbs.
