Quill stems family albums
I was changing stems on my Look and KHS today and decided to take a group photo of my stem stash. Mostly just so I can remember what I have:

Now I know where all the 80-90 mm stems I need are hiding, LOL!
:thumb: |
Wow - that's quite a collection!I have a few spare 1" headsets and a couple of my favorite seatposts...Do tell, how do you end up with so many stems?

Album of 2, possibly my favorite, have plenty more, never rounded them up for a group shot, yet. ;)

https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...365ace247b.jpg Maybe it's just the extra details?? The decals, the extra text cast into it?? It's not as simple as a clean Cinelli or Nitto Pearl, but I can't help it. ... Plus.. I have a nice example stashed away too. :) https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...89e3104391.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...4a7401e170.jpg Steve in Peoria |

I do like the looks of this 3TTT Record, and I'm not even sure why.

Next up was another deeply discounted part, narrow Campy 2 bolt that got me some more height. Then a set of Mafac "2000" engraved brakes to replace the standard issue Dia-Compes, SunTour first gen Cyclones to go with the stock "Mighty" Sugino Mighty Competition crank and I was set. Bike was a Mizutani Super Seraph bought from Mel Renfro when he had a bike shop here in PDX. It was nice but heavy, I didn't really know any better and didn't care, especially after I got the better parts on it. Until it parted ways with bottom half of the DS RDO and became a parts donor. :twitchy: |

Boxed is how I store mine but plastic for around here, don’t want silverfish bugs.

I'll play... There's another box of take offs somewhere, and for whatever reason I have a couple of crates of "cockpits" that haven't been broken down, as well as a bunch of Nitto Technomics floating around in the various project boxes.

^ Is that a SR Royal stem with the machined groove on the right inside the bag?
Nice home-made(?) adjustable track stem! |

Nice home-made(?) adjustable track stem! The adjustable stem is titanium. I got that on Ebay. Supposable Mark Nobilette made it. The Salsa is the other unique stem I have. Also found that on ebay. I bought a Nishiki Ariel to hold it. My shop is still basically a museum of pre covid dreams..... |
