Is this really a Bianchi?
This is a bike for sale locally. He says it's a Bianchi. Probably repaint and a conversion from a road bike to a single speed. But still, is this really a Bianchi?

It certainly could be. A serial number might help support yea or nay. I did find a similar fork crown used on a Bianchi. I wondered about that because many of the Bianchi fork crowns feature either their logo or the letter "B". But this is also used:
It is sad when folks cut derailer hangers off. Same goes for removing cable guides.
The bike was obviously repainted or powder coated. To me, it eliminates some of the allure even if it is a Bianchi.

But what about that top tube cable routing going through the tube from the underside? Are you thinking they drilled that?

The chrome 'socks' might indicate maybe a Special from the early '80s but yeah that through the tube routing is strange for an early '90s Asian built Bianchi
