Bonded aluminum frame identification please!

I picked up this bike on the cheap. It piqued my interest bc it is bonded Al but not familiar like Alan, SR Litage etc. Maillard 500hubs, Suntour Edge groupset. No decals . Serial number in pix. I'll bet that someone knows what this is without even thinking about it! But I don't.

Looks to be a Trek 1000, circa 1989. They came with steel fork and trek was a big user of mallard hubs.

Trek 1nnn series bonded aluminum frame. Brake bridge, dropouts, and lugs give it away. The eyelet on the dropout is not original; epoxied or JB Welded on by a previous owner. I wouldn't trust the eyelet with anything more substantial than a mudguard.

Agreed

I was looking at my own pics and saw the blue paint in the serial number. And said to myself “ That looks like Trek blue” . The PO must have blasted the frame to the metal.
