Simplex braze on model?
Organizing parts, I found this Simplex braze on front derailleur and was wondering what model it was. Hard to tell the difference for me.
Not that I will ever have any use for it... https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...4d0c37a5a.jpeg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...cb2a5a181.jpeg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...ba2620d43.jpeg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...6ad9f0fad.jpeg |

I assume it will work with an adapter in which case a lot of people may want it since the plastic/delrin simplex FDs tend to crack.

It uses a different braze-on, in a different place. As far as I know no adapters are commercially available. I made adapters from a Simplex single-gear-guide, but it takes machine tools and a bit of brazing or silver-soldering on the guide. So yes, some people will want it, if they have a frame with that braze-on (or can do the work). |
