So are you saying the LAN 211 isn’t a match to Molteni Orange?

Believe he is responding to the comment about Molteni re-issue bikes being RAL 2011.

He finds his Molteni re-issue bike too bright a orange when compared to the 1970's versions he owns.

Do not know about anyone else but I certainly have not been able to find sufficient information about LAN 211 to be able to order an equivalent.

I had left a message with Industrial Finishes, and received a call back from Ron Brown. I explained to him the background and what I was looking for.

Ron looked and could find nothing on LAN211, or Giallo Olanda in their system, but went on to tell me it’s possible someone at one of their other locations in Tualitin, Gresham or Vancouver may have found it.

Not knowing the location where the OP had sourced the paint, I sent a PM via this board and never heard back.

Glasurit lists that paint, and references BASF refinish as their US distributor. I had sent them an email and never heard back.

I will get on the phone today with BASF and see if I have any luck.

It was on the Fulvias built after FIAT took Lancia over. A pre-FIAT era Lancia is a mighty fine piece of machinery.

I always use the Industrial Finishes on SE Stark street, maybe 118th?

This is where I would run into Eric the painter (Speedvagen, Breadwinner, Bantam) and the fellows from Black Magic.

Here's my Molteni tribute recently painted locally. I can't remember the code of the colour that was used. The painter matched it from an original frame he previously painted. I showed him this thread and he said those codes don't convert to the current codes. He sprayed a test sheet to show me before he painted the frame. It's a solid colour with a slight pearl in the clear gloss so it pops in the sun. As it was a tribute bike, close enough was ok for me and I am happy with the result. Frame is a 1988 SLX Corsa Extra that was in a bad way hence the repaint. It certainly gets lots of looks and questions out on the road.
