Bough a 1980 Japanese bianchi, but…
I’m not an avid cyclist but I love these old bianchi’s and I use them for weekend rides. This is the third 1980’s bianchi I purchased. I’m a bit confused about the frame though. The stickers all match what I expected. It’s made in Japan and the fork, parts and frame type all look like a original bianchi… except that this fork does not have the B engraved on the top, nor does the frame have Bianchi engraved on the side near the settle. Is this normal? I can’t post pictures here because I’m new.

Try Bianchi “Professional”, no panto “Bianchi” or “B” on crown or top of rear stays in certain years, Ishiwata 022 tubing

I believe it just depends on the year, model and where it was built. Unfortunately this makes identifying Bianchi bikes a bit tougher and the occasional restickered 'no name' can slip by.
More information would be helpful but the chrome "socks" would probably make this an '83 Special, TreTubi ChroMoly with Mangalloy stays, should be a great rider once cleaned up. Sadly in '88 even the Italian built Columbus bikes lost any cartouche which I think was a YUGE mistake on the part of Bianchi
