Classic Zefal HPX soon to be Vintage
Years ago, I ordered a pair of "protectors" or the little soft plastic feet on the HP and HPX frame pumps direct from Zefal France. Now I need another one but Zefal France wants exorbitant shipping fees. Zefal USA doesn't and won't have any. RivBike.com says they only order from Zefal USA and that Zefal is discontinuing the HPX
Of course, I can find something that will work on the HPX just as the clear vinyl tubing works on my Campy headed Silca.

I had a coworker with a 3D printer make some for me. He had not owned the printer very long, so he was looking for stuff to learn on. He said the file need some tweaking, but, after a couple tries, they work pretty good.

Two weeks ago they wanted crazy money to ship anything here. I contacted them and they told me their shipper gives them no other option. I’m glad they worked it out👍 I ordered 3 pairs.

I had one I bought in the 80's when it first came out.
Loved the way it worked. But I lost it sometime in the 90's ehen I forgot to take it out of a car I was trading in. I had it in the car cause I was having ptoblems with slow leaks with my tores, turns oit it was supposed because my alloy rims were corrodinag badly from the inside out.
Really missed that pump because it was so reliable.....

Found an HPX in a free pile last week. Even the right size and color. Needed just a new head rebuild kit so I tracked one down and ordered it up. Arrived today , pump is now working fine. Then I saw this post. Same rebuild kit, direct from Zefal, is 1/3 cost and free shipping. Moral: buy the parts from France as long as they are offering free shipping.

I am a rabid fan of Zefal pumps -- HP-X on the Bianchi and the 1959 Capo, Mtn. pump on the Schwinn. Thank you for the info in this thread!

Yeah, thanks to this thread I grabbed a NOS zefal hpx off of ebay. Going to grab a few rebuild kits, I think we can assume they will become hen's teeth within the next couple decades.
