I actually had a feeling that would come up in the convo...lol. Soon, I promise. Riding my Bridgestone today so I can't grab another pic at the moment.

I may have overpaid by a little but I don't mind since it's from a nonprofit bike shop I volunteer at, all for a good cause. Looks very familiar but yes, my paint is still in very nice shape and such, I'm pleased.

If you paid less than $200 you did fine, and even a bit more is still towards a good cause. There are always posts here of bikes bought at give away prices. I scored a couple. Realistically, if it is worth it to you, that is most important. Often times too, a niche bike comes up seldom, and if it suits you, that is the most important thing.

No one has mentioned that you have your bike, and it's all over.

[QUOTE=sd5782;22845883]The frame on a mixte is aesthetically pleasing to look at. Somehow just simple, understated , but classic. Similar classic bmw web pic;

Lovely lines. How about the 1934 BMW ‘R7’ prototype?

1934 BMW ‘R7’ prototype

The 1934 BMW ‘R7’ prototype is one of the most talked-about and best-loved motorcycles of the 1930s, yet it never left the factory, and was known only through a single, mysterious photo for over 70 years.

Sorry, not making a motorbike thread, but how about a custom bicycle with these looks? Electric? That would be fun to see!

That bike will make a very nice commute bike. Very nice indeed.

FWIW, I, too, don't mind "overpaying" a bit for something I truly want from a source I am happy to give my money to. In my view, that doesn't mean you overpaid, rather that both sides walked away happy with the deal. Well done.
