Shipping and handling
 

The vast majority of items people receive from me are gratis, you pay shipping.

The VAST majority of that is in a flat rate padded express mail envelope, 10.40 about everywhere in the USA

This is somewhat of an irritation for me. I have to deal with getting my funds from paypal.

Last time I shipped something I bought the label on one computer and forgot I didn't have an available printer at this location.

So I clicked print, then on the right side of the print dialog box under Destination I changed that to Save to PDF.

And then it was printed it to PDF and emailed it to myself at home and I printed it.



This is way way easier for the sender of uncompensated flat rate items.

If you're getting something for nothing you should at least be willing to fork up for the label so gratis senders don't get hit with paypal fees when taking their funds out.

It's simple, it's built into every major OS on the planet, and it removes an unnecessary step.

Not what I meant to say. I was trying to say willing to create the label, not fork up.

I am getting ready to ship a frameset through bikeflights to a stranger. They're paying through PayPal. Should I have the purchaser take care of the bikeflights thing and then send me the file to print?

Also, I haven't sold anything through paypal/to another state in a long time. What should I do to protect myself in the transaction?

I personally think that if it can be done that way, it's preferable.
It avoids the inevitable nickel and diming paypal does and there's no question about the amount paid.
Are they paying through to buy a bike? then it's really not what I'm on about. I'm just talking flat fees. If the sender is making nothing type thing

He can also schedule UPS to pickup the package, so you don't have to drop it off at the store. :thumb:

I understand, and I've done the same but the far simpler thing is for the receiver to buy the label then just email it.
One transaction, no paypal fees or profits. no tomfoolery by paypal charging for access to money.
And lemmie tell you all is took is for paypal to make one change: forcing me to "accept" my ,money. If I accept, there's a fee. if I opt for a cheque instead, there's a fee.
I am damn sick and tired of being charged coming and going and this is one small way of doing something about it.
