My last MTB , the Trek 6700SLR
Goo Evening
My last mountain bike frame purchase and it will be the last mountain bike I'll mount a la carte because I'm completely running out of room. I had originally set my sights on a rare Nishiki but the ebay seller, despite his positive feedback, didn't want to close the deal even if he agreed later but it became far too expensive . After scouring and searching ebay for nearly 3 hours, seeing either Specialized M2-M4s bike frame abused or Diamondback or Kona bikes in poor condition and rusty at high prices, I came across a very good deal with this trek 6700 slr alpha made in USA in excellent condition and in a large size. The drivetrain will be full XT 780T except for the crankset, which will be an FSA, chris king set, ritchey stem, ritchey riser bar, rockx shox fork, custom wheels mavic D521 or XM 819 rims with XT hubs and continental 2.3 tires. Traditional geometry and not sloping like on the Kona on this Trek, but the frame is a sure bet and very sturdy. Already ordered a Roox seat post and a Fizik Pavé addle
Best regards
Georges

I pull all the oem color coordinated ones because um... I pull all the oem color coordinated ones (I believe someday that will be something worth it's weight in gold, oh wait..)
Link for that Nishiki? just curious.

Vintage Nishiki Cascade Mtn Bike Frame - Purple Aqua Fade Paint - USA Made it is a 20inch frame, pretty sure made of True Temper but for me with delivery and customs and duties, I would have blown my budget, too bad as nice as Nishiki seller is that he was too slow to respond.

The color and the condition are like new plus I have never seen one like it in Europe, Nishiki is a very rare brand in Europe, the Trek 6700 SLR is rare too, haven't seen one in two decades, it is rare to see people in my country riding older MTBs from the 90's-early 00's. But as I said no more bikes, building the projects and ride them.
