Campy multi-shift rawks!
While awaiting my David Kirk to be built, I bought a Ribble Endurance Ti with 105 Di2 to ride in the interim.
I was curious about electric shifting and disk brakes so the Ribble scratched that itch. No bad things to say, either. Kirk is home, now, and I've had time to get used to its Campy Chorus 2x12 and rim brake hardware. I've read an "Is electric shifting for you?" article that cited a poll of cyclists indicating few of those who made the move to electric would go back to mechanical. Not me . . . My take is that Chorus mechanical shifts with more finesse than does the Shimano--which in itself might be worth a few style points--but the multi-gear shifting capability of Campy is unsurpassed! Also, Chorus rim brakes easily the equal of the 105 disks. Just a Campy fanboi here, checking in! |
If you want this post to be suitable for C&V we're going to need pictures of the Kirk.
