Mixture of RSX, my favorite cheaper group...the levers are awesome...brifters brakes and hubs. RX100 drivetrain. The thin but easy to work with Mavic 195 rims with very little wear.

I had to reference, the initial bankruptcy was started in 1992.
so this is during the Scott years.
boy, the ownership evolved fast after.

I don't think it got many miles, honestly. Chainrings and cassette are in great condition. Cables might be original...tires, not sure. If they are, it may have been ridden 100 miles or so total. Paramount computer which I will never use. Nearly 0 rust on any of the components.

Hopefully 700c x 28mm tires will fit.

Sure don't see many of those. Seems like road bike sales really slumped from 1995-2002ish. That's kinda funny I found a similar era lowend Diamondback Interval with RSX and 7400 pedals on it. They must have been cheaper than Looks at the time?

I prefer the decals with the script that came out a couple years later, and one of my dreams is to find a Peloton 853 from that era. Guess I should get serious and save a search on SearchTempest.

Really clean bike, I like it. Reminds me of my Anodizing, Inc Homegrown from '96.

Is the Super Sport steel or aluminum? Can you post a picture of the Paramount cycle computer? It might work well on my 974. :innocent:

Interesting Schwinn, nice mix of polished parts and hopefully the rear wheel has the correct 130mm and 7s freehub dimensions to suit this frame and the RSX levers.

Its going to be a straight bar conversion. Won’t be using the brifters.

Those are 7401s. 7400s have toe clips.
