Interesting find
Didn’t know these existed...1995 Supersport 100th anniversary.
...might use it to build up As a fast towny/gravel bike he wants. In any case, not a keeper for me. Mixture of RSX, my favorite cheaper group...the levers are awesome...brifters brakes and hubs. RX100 drivetrain. The thin but easy to work with Mavic 195 rims with very little wear. And Dura Ace 7400 pedals oddly https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...3e5f71ae7.jpeg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...8975a2199.jpeg https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...a17c00f95.jpeg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...622eacf3e.jpeg |
So, 1995. Never saw one.
I had to reference, the initial bankruptcy was started in 1992. so this is during the Scott years. boy, the ownership evolved fast after. |
I don't think it got many miles, honestly. Chainrings and cassette are in great condition. Cables might be original...tires, not sure. If they are, it may have been ridden 100 miles or so total. Paramount computer which I will never use. Nearly 0 rust on any of the components.
Hopefully 700c x 28mm tires will fit. |

I prefer the decals with the script that came out a couple years later, and one of my dreams is to find a Peloton 853 from that era. Guess I should get serious and save a search on SearchTempest. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...a17451cb80.jpg |
Really clean bike, I like it. Reminds me of my Anodizing, Inc Homegrown from '96.

Is the Super Sport steel or aluminum? Can you post a picture of the Paramount cycle computer? It might work well on my 974. :innocent:
https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...aaf62cb93a.jpg At least it has the "Paramount Design Group" pedigree. :D |

His wife will be getting a similar retro-rod https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...ffaf3efab.jpeg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...d580189ed.jpeg |
Interesting Schwinn, nice mix of polished parts and hopefully the rear wheel has the correct 130mm and 7s freehub dimensions to suit this frame and the RSX levers.

Those are 7401s. 7400s have toe clips.
