Road Test/Bike Review (1989) EDDY MERCKX Team 7-Eleven Corsa Extra
|
That's so funny since one popped up locally on CL this week; https://vancouver.craigslist.org/rds...681211146.html
I posted it in the C&V forum. |
One of my favorite bikes of all time. That green and red paint job, with the 3/4 chrome... the absolute business. And Andy is a class act all the way.
34 years later, I want one as badly as I did in 1989. --Shannon |
one of the road tests from the prime days of Bicycle Guide! What a great magazine!
I suppose it doesn't hurt to have one of the greatest cyclists as the focus of the article either. :) Steve in Peoria (currently a fan of Adventure Cycling magazine) |

I looked at one 20+ years ago when I didn’t have a bike and knew nothing. The seller let me take it to a shop for inspection where they told me the Campy group was mismatched. That turned me off and I ended up with the Medici. Eddie moved BOTH Andy’s saddle back and bars forward with a longer stem. 🤔

Simply a gorgeous bike, one of my favorites.
Note that there are two different bikes shown in that review, with slightly different paint schemes. |
