quick dump pick. looks original. probably 1990's. frame a little dirty but in good shape. a bunch of lower end shimano? should i return it, or worth keeping or finding a new home for it?

Tis the season ya know... If you can do the work to clean it up and make it a safe solid rider you might try and find a group to donate it to that can get it to someone who needs it.

Not bad, in the Rock Hopper/Hardrock range of bike. Not a highly sought after, frame looks good. Probably works really good as-is, very good base if one wants put upgrades to personalize. Parts wise it is budget, very functional, but not desirable stuff of collections.

I would clean it up and sell, or donate to a cause, give to a friend.

It's at about HardRock Sport level. Definitely don't throw it back, since it appears not to need anything except TLC and consumables. Are the seatpost/stem unstuck? How 'bout the cheapo GripShifters?

As said, worthy to fix up and make someone's day.
