Update
Why cannot I edit the title ?
So I sent a note to giostorino.it and Marco Gios responded. He tells me that the bike was made in 1990 and that the Compact Plus used the Oria KK tube set. I certainly appreciate the info and was just way surprised that Mr Gios would bother with a nobody! Amazing! So then I went searching for Oria info and found this on https://www.retrobike.co.uk https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...74631e869d.jpg FWIW Cheers Charlie |

Kidding aside, Oria KK seems to be very nice stuff! I have a bike built with the Mannesmann 34CrMo4 tube set, which is said to be the same as the Oria ML 34. 0.8 - 0.6 - 0.8 wall thickness, and also 1,880 grams for the set. All I can say is that it is a wonderful bike to ride. How much of that is down to the tubing I don't know. Achim Nöll is a well-reputed frame builder, and I'm sure the geometry has something to do with it as well. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...d15354b1be.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...8b7cbcb8cf.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...9c2ef22c6e.jpg |
