My pleasure. About that VDV jersey, all I could buy at the last minute and could squeeze into. The jersey I had taken to wear had mysteriously shrunk in transit.

Yeah, mine do that all the time.

VDV was the company of Jos Van de Vel, a former Belgian pro, who became a successful fuel trader after expanding his bike shop into hearths and furnaces. He sponsored a local cycling club, De Nieuwe Hoop Tielen. This must have been one of their jerseys. BTW, Van de Vel passed away in 2012, at age 89 ...

I am going to tentatively lay claim to being the largest object to go round the course and possibly being visible from space in the VDV jersey.

The mission is to return and do it again but maybe 20kg lighter next time.
