Fuji Team Restored
Whenever my wife has us run errands or visit family more than 10 miles from our home, I do a quick scan of the marketplaces to see what might be interesting to purchase. In March, I came across these Facebook pictures.

The handlebar situation, water bottle mounted higher, rat-trap pedals, the saddle position, a rear rack, and a 56T chainring. The headset had been upgraded to Dura Ace for some reason. The price was fair and upon pick up, I learned the seller's father used to ride centuries on this bicycle, but he was now in his 80's and not riding. I did not want to be rude asking any follow up questions. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...02ff67d58f.jpg Finally, I had time and made a decision to keep this mostly stock (different stem, bars, seat post). I like to ride bicycles a couple times before wrapping the bars and I may go with a longer stem (120 vs 105) to better fit me. 1997 Fuji Team details from BikePedia. |
interesting setup of original bike, but after looking at it while not "conventional" dude had it set up to work for him.
3 hand positions, really in the drops, on the hoods and the aero bar |
