Not yet, and I would get served divorce papers for sure.

Not the back yard but most other hidey holes, attic, basement, trailer, sheds, etc. :twitchy:

I really would like to see some close up pics of this. I wonder if any of the bikes are rare species. Also that red road bike on the top of the pile on the right side of the picture is kind of confusing me. It looks like it has extra thick tubing like a cannondale but stamped dropouts.

I doubt there were any valuable bikes in that pile. That shed was at the back of a shop that stood for some 40 years and it looks like they never discarded anything. The pic was taken about 10 years ago, they have closed since. Probably all that was sold by weight as metal scrap.

There's a guy at the other end of the city from me who has an outdoor pile about half the size of that warehouse pic. They are mostly modernish low end bikes. Someone scoped it out from the road and let me know about it, thinking that I might find some "resurrection" candidates there. Turns out the guy has rented space from a smallish vehicle wrecker and sends containers of bikes to west African countries. I asked him does he fix them up first ? Nope, just stuffs the container full of bikes. He says those people over there are very ingenious when it comes to repairs, especially tire/tubes. Apparently those countries over there have lots of insanely poor people who are desparate for any form of wheeled transport and this guy is helping get them on wheels. |

The recycling area at my local co op. These are the bikes considered too valuable to recycle and they just sit there. Some have been rescued though.
