Keep in mind that we all have different physiology?, maybe the same measurements but different feel, fit and tolerance for the same geometry, angles, touch points, etc.

Previous injuries, maladies, general fitness, overall awareness, feeling and attention to these things can often yield a different result. ;)

So true. What seemed to be fine to me 30 years ago when I bought my 820 doesn't seem as comfortable now. Whether its the stiffness of my late 60s, or just experience with other bikes. Either way, I just have different needs and wants these dsys.

Size up the frame, slam th stem= French fit? ...or so i thought?!

Yep, until the last 10 years I had always fought with mostly too small bikes and just lived with it, thought it was ok, didn't realize my inseam was so long but knew it was the problem and worked around it.

Had I known how big a problem it was I would have addressed it better sooner and maybe been better for it, we'll never know but I am much more comfortable on my bikes now that are right sized and they go better under me as well.
