DeRosa rides again!
While hemming and hawing for months about the cost (and mounting hassle) of new tubular tires for my DeRosa Professional, I found an ad for tires and wheels posted here by hazetguy. It was too good of a deal to pass up. The wheels arrived yesterday and I installed them today. Tomorrow we ride!

Very nice bike , and I’m with you on tires and wheels. I know from the testimonials here that the sew up tires deliver a superior ride but I’m a clincher guy. I live in a rural area that is the breeding ground for goats head thorns and pot holes so patching tubes is a way of life . I believe those are Mavic G 40 rims? I just finished building up a Medici and used a set of those that are laced to early Phil hubs . I’m going to head out in a few hours for my first ride on that bike. Pedal on….

Thanks. It's my favorite steel bike. Yes, Mavic rims, in much better condition than the ones replaced!

nice...what tires? I am running mostly tubies (my de rosa got fmb) but the 28mm Rene Herse tires are really really nice

Beautiful bike! I had one exactly like that but rode the bike into a closed gate while I was distracted with traffic. I survived but the bike didn't. RIP De Rosa, great riding bikes!
