Hmmm...

I don't know if it's appropriate for me to answer this question in the C&V forum as a 36-year-old. During college first old bike was a 1979 Raleigh Super Course and Craig, the owner of Sierra Bicycle Werks, had a beautiful copper Raleigh International on display in the fitting area upstairs and until I started learning more about the wonderful world of old bikes, I thought that was the classiest bicycle I'd ever seen. If I could get a clean 24.5" copper Raleigh International, I guess it would spur some kind of nostalgia in me, but I don't think it'd be as strong or direct a feeling as if I'd lived through that era. That shop was also a dealer for Torelli and Independent Fabrication, so I saw some modern custom steel bicycles rolling through there that were pretty neat.

Oh, oh, revised the second part of my answer! I nearly forgot that when I moved to San Francisco I lived near Ocean Cyclery, and they were (and still are) a Tommasini dealer. I saw my first Tommasini frames in person there and was stunned by them, and around that same time Road Bike Action also had a feature on a red Tommasini Tecno - I still have that issue in storage. So, Tommasini is certainly nostalgic for me in a lustful way, and I'd still love to purchase a new one someday. The article's still posted on the RBA website:

Yes! I loved Spenco gloves. I went to college in Waco and Spenco gave away gloves for free to the cycling team.

I would love to have an NOS Sante groupset too.
