Freewheel identification

Hi,

I need to remove this 5 speed freewheel. It sits on Hercules bike and it looks like suntour but kind of broken(?) I could not identify proper removal tool for it. Closest I could guess would be this two teeth suntour. Any clues ?

That’s a TDC brand, not Suntour. You can juuuust make out the TDC, and the stamp on the other side says “Made in England.”

This discusses removing a TDC freewheel, which would require a three-pronged tool. Bicycle Research apparently made one called the CT-5, but I have no idea how rare that is now.

Following your suggestion about TDC I google it and it looks for me there is either a "brute force" way or "DIY tool". Eventually this Suntour 2 notch... Anyway, I'll continue my struggle. Thanks for perfect identification! Cheers.

You can try a a Suntour 2-notch remover. If that doesn't work, reach out to Wayne Bingham ; I bought a 3-prong TDC remover from him last year.

For comparison, here is the one I got from Wayne:

The inner diameter of the freewheel was 19.4mm roughly

yeap, I found this eBay offer, but the shipping to Poland would double the cost :) plus some taxes what makes this price waaay to high for a one time job (I hope at least :) ) I'll try with this Suntour first.

I compared the Suntour to the tdc tool. I do not think that it will work. I don't have a tdc freewheel to try sticking the Suntour in. I have modified freewheel tools to make them fit by grinding. You might be able to make your own tool. It looks like I might be able to ship a small package to you for $20, + $20 for the tool. I would need to confirm the shipping cost with my postmaster.

quick update:
I was able to grab old hand made tool locally and it worked out almost perfectly. I am not going to use this freewheel but the wheel itself will continue its ride in another bike. Thanks all for help! Cheers.
