Panto Prices

i have a colnago Superissimo that is on the fall build up docket, and out of curiosity, started looking at pantographed bits on the bay. geez, they go for almost as much as i paid for a frame. WTF.

It may be cheaper to buy NOS or good condition parts and have them pantoed professionally.

Check out CycloRetro, whom I've used: https://www.cycloretro.com
And Stephen Needle, whose work looks equally good: https://www.instagram.com/pantobikeparts/?hl=en

Assortment of parts I had refurbished and pantographed by CycloRetro in 2018 for AU$420. Crankset and stem were NOS, gear shifters and seat post were bought used and pantographed.

Cycloretro is great - they did a full Campagnolo 8-speed Record Delta group for me in Zunow pantographs. It was closer to $1K with all the additional work, plus shipping, but he did an absolutely stunning job.

I also recommend La Vie Velo Classique, a craftsman based in Hungary. He did a great job on a 3Rensho pantographed crankset for me - photos and contact info here:

another resource (also just so happens to be in Australia but not in Melbourne) is Greg Softley of decal fame, but he has SOME pantographed parts.
So far he seems to offer only chainrings and shift levers (mainly Campy NR) but if you're looking for them in any of the Big Names of Italian marques, check him out:

he might also be able to panto other marques/parts not currently in his catalog, can't hurt to ask

Second with positive review of Greg Softley. I got chainrings and shifters ( early Campagnolo) from him at a reasonable price , new. I had to wait about a year for the chainrings and in the interim found a nice panto stem that was period correct for my mid seventies Super. The great thing about the chain rings is they are new! Also 53/41 Super Record style with 144BCD. I am still looking for a seat post but I’m not gonna pay $400. The stem was $130 .

He had shifters in early or late style

The chain rings fit nicely and look great with the Ambrosio crank

Best pic I have that shows the stem , sorry
