I’ve had these forever waiting on something to use them on. Finally have the perfect bike and they don’t fit. They are too big in diameter for the axle. What wheel would these be used for? Thanks

Those are for Weyless hubs.

There are other hubs you could use them on, if you don't mind drilling a little. A couple that come to mind are Hi-E and Phil Wood, who used large diameter 1/2" axles (12.7 mm), with caps on the ends that stepped that size down to 10 mm to fit in the dropout. It's easy and pretty safe to drill out the end caps to fit the Weyless skewers Once you're through the cap ( a few mm), you hit air inside the oversized axle.

The Weyless hubs sure looked impressive in the advertisements back in the day!

I'm a little surprised that we don't see them on many people's bikes. I'm not the only person who thought that they were pretty slick, am I??

(never was much of a weight weenie, but I did buy a Hi-E front hub. Still have it)

They look less slick after the "racing stripe" stickers comes loose.

What glue should I use, any ideas? Cyanoacrylate?
