Help me date / model this centurion.
Trying to date a centurion.
M6C06306 everything I look for says there should be a Y following the M but there’s not. It begins with M6. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...ed2ee25dc.jpeg |
Long lugs
SR seatpost is a campy knock off. All parts interchangeable. SR stem is nicely milled, makes me think racing not touring original owners manual funny, dad warmed up his pen on the cover, but never filled out the reg card. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...6a11f15fe.jpeg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...6d5c0e83a.jpeg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...6b650f49e.jpeg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...7ba6965fa.jpeg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...5d6e39b40.jpeg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...ff9f07ddd.jpeg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...8806d9d81.jpeg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...4fcd14a9b.jpeg |
Looks like a 1977-ish Semi Pro that has had some paint stripped.

Immediately pegged as a Semi Pro, 77-79. But I have no firm proof.

MIKI (Japan): MyFxxxx; BF member Hummer believes 3rd character is a month indicator using A to M, with I omitted. y indicates a numeric character designating the last digit of the year (i.e. 1 = 1971 or 1981, 2 = 1972 or 1982, etc.). With such codes, you have to determine the decade based on frame characteristics, components, etc. So frame was serialized in March 1976 |
I shouldn't ask, but what size is this?
|
|
Dad liked 58–60
|
That's a sweet-lookin' sled. I bet it rides as nice as it looks. And that SR stem is the business... one of the prettiest ever, I think.
The bar tape and hoods aren't doin' it for me, though. --Shannon |

The style of headbadge would seem to confirm a bike made between 76-79.
|
Just noticed the FD has been replaced, and the rims (or more likely the wheels).
But everything else on there is mighty fine |
That is just so very tasteful.
|
I will move to the for sale section shortly.
maybe after I replace the tape. |
I once owned a pearl yellow 79 Semi Pro. Great riding bikes.
|
It measures 60cm center to top
