What Cantilevers are These?

Hello. I have this set of cantilevers found in a parts box. What model are these anyway? I have all the pieces for them. Has Shimano brake pads which say M65/T. Had one response on the MTB forum which said they may be Curve brand but I am not so sure. Thank you.

Check out the pics in this thread:

[Sorry. That's a R*E*D*D*I*T thread that got censored]

Did you get some of his leftovers/early production pieces?

Yeah, that link did not work. As far as I know, these are the only pieces for this set that I have.

You could try this one.

They look awfully similar to me.

They look like the cheapos that used to come on Kona bikes from 2000 or so.

Which I think would be these (from this link to an E*B*A*Y page)

[ETA: and which look to be Curves]

Incidentally, what I meant to imply was that the canti's you have look like they could have been somebody's DIY CNC project -- not that I mean that in a bad way.

They look like the Tektros that I picked up last year:

Look like Curve to me.

So far these are the only suggested examples that look like a match. The other examples "Curves" don't have the concave bevel for pad adjustment.

You will note that those do not have the anchor screw on one side but rather a yoke attachment identical on both sides. That is different than what I have. Additionally, the hole for the spring is also in a different place. Thank you though.

There is a listing on Retrobike UK for Curve brakes that look very similar to what you have…including the Straddle cable anchor.

I'm not even sure those are actually Curves, though -- adding to the mystery:

The only other similar set I can see online is kona curves which are £130 on ebay so save yourself some pennies on these as they are just as good! Grab a bargain at £65 posted! Any questions just ask. Cheers.
