Wheel value ??

I've searched a bit and have an idea of possible responses, e.g. check ebay for past values, etc. but I haven't come up with much and would like a sample of more than 1-2 to come up with an estimate. This forum is wealth of information in general so your honest opinion/estimages are greatly appreciated.

I came into a set of 27" Weinnman (single wall) touring rims (of wide and burly stock such that they can accommodate 27 1/2 without a problem) with phil wood hubs (freewheel 127mm spacing rear and high flange front 100m). They are true and ride nicely, but there is a small bit of surface rust/oxidation on the hubs. A bit of polishing should make them look beautiful again.

What would they be worth to the average person restoring or fixing up a ride spaced at 127mm?

Are the rims steel or alloy?

Weinnman touring rims are alloy. They are a good 'tough' set of rims. The original owner was a bike mechanic in boulder years ago and used them on a touring setup.

I just haven't found the right bike to put them on, and some familial obligations are forcing me to reduce the parts bin/project ideas for a while. No huge rush, but I could either use the $, or trade for something else I need. Perhaps a coil spring brooks to go on my roadster fixie conversion.
