Here is our link to old bicycle ads found in ne older newspapers. A old lady gave me a photo album full of ads that her late husband collected. I scanned everyone of them and put them on our Flickr page. Hope you enjoy. They are under Old Bicycle Articles in our sets page.

Google has created access to images from Life magazine's archives. A search for "bicycle" came up with about 200 cool pics, including this one:

Check it out at https://images.google.com/hosted/life.

This is probably mentioned somewhere, but the best site for swedish and many other bikes (pics!) can be found at www.cykelhobby.com

The site is created by the very nice mr. Kjell Wahlqvist.

Raleighs, of course! Note the distinctive Raleigh fork crown, and the headbadge.

The two in the foreground are '48-49 Clubmans. The decals and chromed fork tips betray a Raleigh Record Ace on the raised stand.

One of the best period pictures I've ever seen.

I know this is not a link, but I thought somebody might find it of interest. It's a book. The New Complete Book of Bicycling by Eugene A. Sloane. It was published in the early 1970s by Simon & Schuster. If you like old road bikes, and can locate a copy, grab it. It's a book about the bikes we love that was written back when they were still new!

Here is a site I stumbled upon today looking up fenders. These are handcrafted from wood with lots of different designs and shapes. Looks like he does custom work too. I haven't purchased any but thought someone might be interested for a retro look on a classic build.

With the hopefully temporary demise of Wool Jersey, Robert Broderick announced this site on the CR list: https://www.velo-pages.com/main.php

A great resource for catalogs, brochures, etc.
