old dawes chevron racer ?circa 70s

Hello

Just wondering if any bike buff can help me ... I've bought an old Dawes Chevron racer which looks a bit knackered but is still a really nice comfy ride. It has 5 speed Huret gears, Weinmann brakes, and is nice and light - lighter than a quite a few current cheap racers! I think it may have been quite a decent bike when launched (I think it dates from late 70s), but after extensive online searching I can't find any info about it at all - although I did find a picture of it in a catalogue, which described it as an 'enthusiast's' bike, and dated it 1977. I also tried asking Dawes, but they haven't responded!
Does anyone know anything about it?
Expertise welcomed!
Thank you.
