Weinmann aero rims

I posed this question in the mechanics forum a few weeks ago with no luck. I should have asked you guys instead. I have a couple of sets of wheels from an early nineties Schwinn Tempo with Maillard hubs, junk, and Weinmann Aero rims. When I got the bikes new Schwinn was making a big deal about the rims. Are they any good or worth relacing to a better set of hubs?

Surely one of the experts here knows something about these rims.

Bikes: Crap. The box is not big enough...

cs1, any wheel that is round and true and not ugly is worth keeping. These rims are some of the nicer aero offerings (although it was mostly a styling exercise, as the small rim profile does little to improve the aerodynamics over a conventional box rim). I had, at one time or another, Mavic, Araya and Weinmann aerodynamic rims and they all worked well and looked good. The maillard hubs are, um, unfortunate. I have never had good luck relacing with used rims, although someone else may have good advice with this process (I was never very good at lacing anything, even my shoes...)
