Well, it is a mountain bike. Not very mountain bike-ish any longer. '86 Cimarron.

Hi, sorry for the change up on threads, I have a Ross Mt. McKinley Signature mountain bike I bought new though a local bike shop that at the time handled Ross bikes. This was a custom built bike I ordered in 1981 but had to wait approximately a year for delivery (Spring 1982). I road it on local mountain trails for a good ten years back then here in Montana. I just aired up the tires and took it for quick spin around my neighborhood and everything works as it should. It's paint job is scratched up from the use. Not sure what the value is? I have some photo's but not savvy enough with the computer to share on this site. If interested I would be willing to email. Bob

That light blue Cimarron is fantastic.
Here's the current state of my 84 Sierra after replacing the pedals and trying out some reddish Ritchey gumwalls

I believe a '94-ish Rockhopper. Grabbed this yesterday off CL for $20. Sadly it had a mishmash of parts save for the headset, handlebar, cranks, derailleurs, and brakes. Previous owner said he bought the front fork off EBay but didn't notice it didn't have brake bosses. Plus the fork wasn't a good fit at all. He had the wrong sized caged ball bearings so it was just flopping around. Rear wheel was an older Araya and wasn't even a qr, front was some cheap Chinese brand. Frame is nice. Broke it down today and some parts will be a donor to my '87 Ponderosa build and the crankset will probably go to my Karakoram (frozen driveside:decided to cut it off). Frame will lay in wait for the future.

Specialized Stumpjumper M2 Orange frame $20
I just picked up a 1998+ specialized Stumpjumper M2 frame im about to build up with a donor S&W police bike fitted with LX/XT parts... Chris king threadless headset, rockshock Judy fork... i didnt really care for the generic S&W frame even though its my size and had extra gussets under headtube welded on.. NOTHING like the stumpjumper however... anyway, it should be a nice ride... I ride mostly street urban and road but just wanted have something different and obviously this frame is superior to the S&W ( right?) lol

A lot of beautiful bikes on this thread. This is my 1993 Bridgestone MB-1. I just picked it up the other day. The bike was practically NOS and completely original. The bike has a beautiful lugged frame made of ritchey logic tange prestige tubing and a cool tom ritchey designed biplane fork. The bike weighs a righteous 25 pounds.
I overhauled it but none of the original grease had been contaminated. The paint job is cherry. I swapped out the tires for schwalbe 26 x 2.0 marathon supreme touring and swapped the pedals out for bmx style pedals:

Lol - we'll, I too was about to share my '93 MB-1. Tried a bunch of different set ups including 650b which works well.

My "real" trail bike is a '96 Bontrager Race Lite. 1" threadless is difficult to source a suspension fork for but someone suggested the RST Omega. The Marzocchi A Bomb that it came with was cracked and leaking oil. The Omega, imo, is pretty great for how cheap it is. The Bonty RL is an unreal ride. Makes the MB-1 feel downright stiff if you can believe it. Wildly, weirdly light frame. Climbs like a dream.

What do you think of the 26x2.0 Marathon Supremes? Do they feel reasonably fast?

I intended to put this 1985 Norco Sasquatch together from a frame which I traded for some vintage 26" tires for someone I felt could use it but they had another bike so for an extra 20.00 from the guy I purchased it from I was able to complete it. It did come with the Sugino crank set, brakes and front rim initially.
A decent enough build, a bit on the smaller side for me but for something to do short local trail rides with it should be fine. All the bearings needed repacking, either a bit tight or too loose. I always preferred the older mtb frames with a standard fork crown, most likely the last year for them, at least for Norco. Made in Japan by someone. Anyone have information on the Tange Champion PG tubing? Bike seems rather light. I understand the PG stands for Plain Gauge and would imagine being a mountain bike it would use something like the thicker No.4 or 5 tubing.
