Can anyone teel me anything about the DC Douglas bike?

This is a bike I picked up a number of years back... it is a DC Douglas model DC7000. I know nothing about Douglas bikes... when and where were they made? It is made of Columbus Matrix tubing and has a misture of components. Has Suntour Cyclone 7000 durailers & STS Shifters, Shimano 600 cranks, brakes, levers and stem. Matrix Aero rims with Shimano Durace hubs and 6 spd block.

A nice riding bike with racing geometry... have never seen or heard of this bike manufacturere before. Here is a picture... note that I added the Canadian flag decals.
