could be fuscia, since the closest matching nail polish I've found is Walmart's "Fuscia Fuscia."

discussing it may be the most telltale sign....

Added a convert......

Mint 62cm, white and green fade, '88 Expert.
Not mine, but he should unveil in a few days if he takes a pic before he rebuilds it (modern).

His famous last quote to me was "I'm younger than you; a Cannondale is my "Ironman" bike....."

Hah hah.....we'll see.

One bike at a time, one person at a time.......

Robbie Talking about colors my green and white 1987 Master had pink cable housings. They were still pink under the bar tape and the small piece of housing before the rear dérailleur. All the 87's like mine I have seen have faded to white. I ordered a Jagwire kit in pink. It is going to be STI 8 speed. I have a old tan leather jacket that I am cutting up to make a new seat cover and bar tape. Should be done in a week. Buy the way Bike Stop had the Racer full kits in hot colors for STI for $27. Thats $10 cheaper than anyone elts

On here it comes out looking blue . It is much darker and it is green not blue. I have tried several different cameras and they all come out this color in the camera before I down load them. Here is the greem Master before I started work on it and a Expert behind it. There are quite a few green and white experts on here but they all seem to have a lot more white than this one. The pink housings can still be seen in this picture.

Poke around the camera's settings looking for a White Balance option. Might just be labeled "WB" or with an icon of two triangles pointing at each other with a rectangle between and above them, like this: https://files.pressible.org/20/files/...lance-Icon.jpg
In a nutshell, you point that at something white that's in the same light as what you want to photograph (so get close and point the camera at your downtube) then press the button. The camera then knows you want that to be white so it adjusts its colors to cancel out whatever is messing with your colors.
If you can't do a manual white balance like this, perhaps just picking the type of light (direct sun, shade, incandescent, fluorescent, whatever) would help with your colors.

Robbie, as soon as I find my camera I'll have shots of my '85 and '86 Ironmen for you. Paint on both isn't in spectacular condition but I've always been impressed with how many original parts they still have. Friend of mine has an '89 with the white-and-marbled paint job too, don't remember whether it's an Expert or Master.

ah ok.. .. the centurion "seafoam green".. i'm familiar with that paint job... i was thinking there might be some other green ironman paint job i havent seen.

i had a problem photographing a blue/green Schwinn World Sport.. all the pictures made it look blue but it had plenty of green too

Friend of mine has an '89 with the white-and-marbled paint job too, don't remember whether it's an Expert or Master.
i have a master with the marble.. not sure if the expert also had the same paint

Well, if anyone wonders where Cavaletto N5E0588 went, it went to a Pocatello (Idaho) Police auction, where I am now the proud owner of her. The rear derailleur is boned, so it's perfect for my new project: IGH road bike, prolly going to slap a Shimmy Nexus-8 or Alfine-11 in her and a Nexus dynamo front. While I can play nice with the 27" wheels, 700C just seems a bit funner to run, so she gets a whole new wheelset (she'd have to anyway, some idiot threw a 29" on back, don't ask me how, I had to deflate the damn tire to pull it off). Anyone got any cool details about her history?

I know about White Balance but it did not help. I owned a camera repair company for many years in Florida. I put the image in a photo program and came up with this and it is pretty close. Forget all the background collors

'89 Master had the grey marbled fade.
'89 Prestige had a Duke blue marbled fade (on eBay right now, on this forum before)

There may have been a dark blue marbled, but I don't think it was an Ironman. I don't recall correctly, so I just won't mention it.....

Photos for Robbie... found some older ones kicking around in my iPhoto, and just now took the wide-angle one for kicks. (I'm waiting for a beautiful day and a beautiful backdrop before I switch out the lens and take Real photos of this and the other rides...)

It came with, I think, mostly original parts. The downtube shifter broke as I understand the originals do; it's been replaced by some cheap Shimano shifter until I get around to finding a 600 replacement. Original-looking rear hub cracked; I replaced it with what I think is a similar-era wide flange Shimano hub and a new Mavic Open Pro rim.

Fuzzy photo is the earliest, I had just gotten it but put around-town pedals, a new-to-me cyclometer, and a Brooks saddle on it; the photo with the wood pile is a later and higher-quality shot of the same setup; then the wide-angle was just a minute ago (it's up on the blocks cause its bottom bracket needs some attention) with new bar tape (snapped a brake cable) and the cheapo double-sided SPD pedals I've had on it for maybe six months.

Since salmon have left the west coast, I had to settle for fuschia. This is 'catch of the day', but needs to be here. Pulled in to dump my load and this was on the scrapper's flatbed...

I broke some rules to get this home, but only bike guys would understand that this shouldn't be crunched. It was seconds from getting some more metal dumped on top. N7.... 87?

Here is my Super Tour 15, SN N1K0291.
Pretty much a basket case, but all there. New wheels have been acquired. Also posted here, it's torn down and being repainted, not sure what color combo to use. Any ideas for a cool, but classic touring color scheme?

i can't decide if i want a green ironman to match my green Apex, or this Axis in marble to match my Ironman

https://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=94442

actually i don't like the straight fork on the axis..
