Price to sell a Vintage Peugeot 501 12 speed?

I have a Peugeot 501 12speed bike that was purchased late 1970's or early 1980's. It was used for a few years then stored in a garage. It has nicks and looks slightly rusted. Does anyone have information on what a bike like this is worth in todays market? I'll appreciate any information from folks in the know. Lorraine

Lorraine, welcome to the forums! I'm moving this from Introductions to Classic & Vintage. Hopefully someone there can help you out.

12speed sounds early 80ish to me. I picked up a mid-80's Peugoet on my local craigslist for $60 earlier this year with 501 tubing. This one was in really great shape, all it really needed was tires and cables. Depending on rust/paint issues and your location (some areas of the country are vintage bike crazy and drive prices way up) will determine what you can get for it. Photos would help.

oh, and welcome to BikeForums.

welcome!
you need to give us more details on the parts. What type of peugeot is it? And what type of parts like the brakes, the levers, the derailleurs, etc etc. The more details the more we can say.

And photos. Lots of photos
(my first wild guess on what i read so far would be as low as $20 till $100 or so.. but thats speculating)

I've seen vintage bikes like that sell for less than $200 on ebay.
