This looks nice to me, and just my size. The pics are horrid, but the gruppo looks good, and considering the advertised condition, the price is nice.

I would think the price fair for just the group, assuming it is complete and not trashed. Check it out and then crow about your find.

the price is good if the bike is really in good shape. I think a 53.5 may be more for someone between 5'4" and 5'8", though...that is just my opinion, of course, and a lot of sizing can be done with the right seatpost and stem.

Yes good price if frame has no dents, little scratching, no real damage, wheels true and no rust/ready to ride.

Reviving this thread to give an update. I don't have pics, but I just bought this. Went to check it out, and the bike is close to mint, with the full, very lightly used Shimano 600 gruppo. Really beautiful eggplant/brown color, also. I'll put up pics in a day or two, but this puppy is better-tended than anything of its ilk I've come across in NYC. Even has near-new Pasela tires and barely-used bar tape. The paint is lightly scratched in a few small spots, but nothing nasty. Good stuff.
