For a while Fiorelli made the Coppi brand, in the 60's and some of the 70's.

Tunturi is a Finnish company that is more known for their exerecise equipment. The vintage Tunturi bicycles that I've seen have all been entry level models, but Shimano 600 brakes would imply a mid-range model. "Funny looking" could be the early 1980s, 600AX Parapull brakes, or the or the mid-1970s version with a pivoted bar that elimjinated the need for a yoke cable. Pics would help.

sorry no pics yet. i think the tunturi is from the 80's. the shimano 600 brakes look like odyssey pitbull bmx brakes (center pull) and the arms come down and cover the pads.. they are weird. the frame looks to be somewhat high quality, nice lugs, light....
;)

That sounds like the 600AX brakes. They are collectible and date from 1981-1984. Hopefully, they are original to the bicycle and it has the rest of the 600AX group.

yea, thats what they are. iv also got the rest of the group. the bike is fixed now so iv got the whole set left over.
