How does one date a Dunelt?

I ride a beautiful old Dunelt, and I'm curious as to what year it was made. I am not dating it to sell, and don't want to know anything about its value. Are there any numbers or anything on the bike that would clue me in to its age?

The Sturmey-Archer rear hub date is the only reliable Raleigh dating system for these machines currently. Hub should be stamped with both month and year.

Take care,

As we say here in Mississippi--do what, now?

Thanks so much, but...where's the hub? (I promise I'm not daft, just a girl who knows little about older bicycles)

Rear hub is the chrome cylinder in the center of the rear wheel. Also serves as the rear axle, and your 3-speed transmission.

M.C.,

Don't apologise. As I was taught many years ago, "There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers."
