Downtube to brifters...thoughts-

I took off the Downtube shifters on my vintage trek. Now that I have some campy brifters, what type of cable stays should I be looking for. No way am I using zip ties, I was hoping there was something that threaded into the downtube shifter braz on's that would support the shifter cables. Any thoughts?

There are... A couple of places have downtube cable stops.

They are usually listed as Shimano, but I can't imagine they are really specific to group since they just hold the housing end and have a hole for the cable. Perhaps someone else can be definitive.

Here are Loose Screw's offerings:

For a steel frame, get the concave ones, for large aluminum frames (like my Cannondale) get the flat ones.

Also use the flat ones if you're dealing with a PITA '80s Peugeot. The pointed edges of the DT braze-ons will not conform to the concave-design stops.

Take care,

I believe that Shimano Cable Stops would work....
