Any Robin Hood owners?
I picked up a '58 Robin Hood ladies model last weekend. In pretty fair shape -- some rust, but everything was there and the tin was straight. The front fender proved to be too rough for just a clean-up, so I painted another fender I had (Chrysler's Jade Pearl is a good match for Raleigh's Polychromatic Green). As you might expect, now the fender makes the rest of the bike look bad, so I may as well repaint the whole thing. That's going to involve new decals, and I've got them covered except for the Robin Hood on the rear fender.
Anybody got one I can get a pic of? |
I think my mom has one, although it was purchased at a yard sale years ago for my kids to ride, and I don't know if the rear fender decal (I think that's what you are looking for) is still intact. We will be visiting later this week, and will be able to photograph it. I'll post here if it works out.

Thanks. Actually, any Robin Hood images would be great. The rear fender decal is the same as the headtube badge, so that'd work too.

Mike,
Hope this completed e-bay auction helps. http://cgi.ebay.com/1969-Robin-Hood-...QQcmdZViewItem |
Don't own a Robin Hood but I do live in Sherwood. Oregon that is. Near a forest.
Tis true. Sorry, couldn't resist. |
Mike, I have a Robin Hood headtube badge that I'll put in the mail to you later today. I've had it for years and have no idea if the logo changed over time, but it's a start. Maybe you can update the character with some tatoos or something.

There you go, Neal -- we'll change the name to Robbin' Hood and make the guy on the badge into a gangbanger. Now if I could just get some 26-inch spinners...
