What's this Fuji worth?

Early '80s Fuji Pro, 62cm. No decals (not a problem ;) ) and the silver and black paint is in decent not great shape, a 7 out of 10. Fully chromed beneath the paint. Chromed fork crown. Suntour Pro dropouts. Hatta Swan headset included.

Saw it on CL today, going to look at it tomorrow. Seller's asking $100.

$100 sounds like a steal if its in reasonable shape. Raced one of the late 70's Pros and although not the lightest of bikes, was very surefooted at speed and an excellent allrounder. All the top end Fujis were fully chromed under paint for who knows how many years. Added weight, but certainly made them durable on tube finish. I have heard (not qualified) that they would corrode from the inside out... But I have a '74 ACE, which although scrapped a bit, seems solid with no surface rust, thanks to the chrome.
The Pro was the 1st fully modern design spec'd frame from Fuji, prior to that the ACE was a 1st attempt at a modern spec, but not quite there. The Newest and Finest of the 70's were much more 'old-style' road race design. Quite comfortable and solid on long courses but not as well suited for the short-course crits that dominated the late 70's and 80's.
I've actually been keeping my eye out for an old Pro, just to 'relive' some of the finer race days...
62cm, that is some serious size - you must be one tall/big dude!

Hey Mike. Did you get it? I think we all want to know.

Nah -- turned out the guy only wanted to sell the frameset for that price, so I passed. On the way home though, I found a pristine '86 Raleigh Technium 480 at a thrift store for $25, so I was consoled.

Interesting. I came across this thread while searching about Fuji bikes, for more info about an ebay frame I found.

It looks like the seller has moved to ebay.

No decals and the silver and black paint is in decent not great shape, a 7 out of 10. Fully chromed beneath the paint. Chromed fork crown and chainstay. Note the brazing at the water-bottle bosses and brake bridge. Suntour Pro dropouts. Hatta Swan headset and seatpost included. This came stocked with full Suntour Superbe Pro.
I'm definitely interested in this frame, since I can pick it up locally (if the seller's alright with that), and it sounds like it's a good quality frame. Looks aren't that imporant to me, and it's also the size I'm looking for.

Feedback is welcome, I'm new at this and don't really know enough to separate the good from the bad.
